User Experience Designer III

eCommerce client's Digital Content team is seeking a customer-obsessed Senior User Experience Designer to own digital payment products across their digital product teams. This team, based in Seattle, WA, is responsible for defining and actively managing the digital payments customer experience for all of client's digital businesses’ worldwide. They offer a creative, fast paced entrepreneurial work environment where you'll drive UX design for all digital payment and portal and app initiatives on behalf of the customer.

You will use your UX and visual design skills to create elegant, intuitive user experiences that meet evolving business needs and influence future payment experience patterns. You must be able to translate complex customer interactions into simple, engaging user-centered solutions, while being flexible and responsive in a fast-paced collaborative peer environment. You will work collaboratively with other designers, engineers, product managers, and executives worldwide to deliver and follow through the planning and development lifecycle. The scope of this position extends across numerous features and product lines throughout our international publishing business, so the ability to balance high-level, holistic reasoning with detail-oriented feature design is imperative.

Responsibilities

Work closely with cross-functional teams to help define discoverability and shopping experiences for a variety devices
Design Product UX from concept through production
Understand target users deeply: develop or work from user profiles & conduct task analysis, create user scenarios or user stories, help to create and analyze user research.
Integrate and manage tablet brands through all visual design
Create wireframes, flowcharts, prototypes, error states, high def mockups and detailed design specifications to describe the user experience, user interface, and advertising concepts
Actively participate in usability testing and interpret data
Present design work to the product team, engineering team, and business stakeholders for review and feedback.
Contribute to user interface design and development best practices and standards.
Partner with highly technical local and international development teams for product launch.
Handle multiple projects in an agile, fast-paced environment.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
At least 7 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role
Experience in implementing patterns and reusability within and across products
Excellent understanding of desktop, mobile and other platform design
Existing knowledge of User Interface patterns and techniques
Working understanding of User Roles, Personas, Journey Maps, User Testing
Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) and other wireframing or prototyping tools
Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences ranging from high level stakeholders, business analysts, and technologists responsible for implementing your designs
Strong portfolio demonstrating, past and current, relevant work experience in delivering user-centered design solutions with UI design expertise.
Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs


Preferred Qualifications
Relevant work experience in the eCommerce space
Previous experience in the financial technology space
