We work across the customer experience lifecycle to support an omni-channel business; this means you’ll influence designs that span customers’ interactions on desktop browsers, mobile devices and in some cases, in-store interactions.

Our business needs critical thinkers; design thinkers to interpret business goals and identify user requirements which represent how we’ll translate the business goals into tactical software solutions. You’ll have the benefit, and bench strength, of a dedicated Research team and partners across Analytics/Customer Intelligence, Strategy, Product Management, and Engineering to help navigate the paths to customer value.

Key role attributes:
· Customer advocacy; define user requirements in response to business goals working with product management and technology partners.
· Empathy for our customers and users of our software solutions, identifying their needs and goals.
· Foundational knowledge of information architecture, interaction design and experience planning.
· Senior roles bring mentoring and coaching capabilities, team leadership, and help identify new methods for practice development.

Key responsibilities:
· Active participation in a cross-functional agile team; representing User Experience alongside visual design, copy writing, product management, development and qa resources.
· Shares delivery accountability with agile team mates within a structured sprint and release schedule.
· Creates prototypes, process flows, wireframes, and design specifications.
· Participates in and analyzes user research and usability test results; participates in backlog grooming and sprint planning.
· Follows established patterns, component usage and practices and style guidelines when designing experience solutions and understands the rationale for their use and level of importance.
· Works with the “voice of the online customer” in mind and works in alignment with the Walgreens brand.
· Seeks out consumer data and web analytics when developing experience solutions.
· Works with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Developers in the development of use cases/stories required to document the business rules and expected online customer behaviors.
· Participates in project reviews; collaborates with the User Experience group in the development and promotion of, and compliance to, experience design standards.
