Position- UX Designer
Location- Islandia, NY (Long Island) Zip- 11749.
* All work is to be performed onsite M-F during normal business hours. Remote is not an option
Type- Contract

Hourly Pay Rate- $55-67.50

You will bring together business objectives, user insights, and an understanding of sophisticated technology to create customer experiences which drive Service Desk Management for Fortune 100 companies in a wide variety of industries. These experiences span devices and environments – from browsers, to mobile apps, to the mainframe and distributed networks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and document detailed user experience deliverables including personas, requirements docs, storyboards, interaction flows, wireframes, prototypes, functional specs, and visual assets.
• Understand the target audiences' needs, tasks, and goals and produces detailed user interface specifications
• Generalize usability findings to apply to corporate UI standards and consistency with other products
• Contribute creative ideas for making designs and design standards better
• Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into meaningful interactive experiences
• Work closely with the engineering and QA teams to ensure that the implementation matches designs.
• Solve basic interaction problems with limited supervision.
• Develop plan to educate development teams in accessibility design and UCD principles
• Work locally with the team and participate in daily activities

Typical Deliverables include:

• Wireframes (both low and high fidelity), which include detailed functional annotations, as well as illustrations and descriptions of states and system responses
• User workflows, scenarios and task analysis
• Taxonomy recommendations
• Customer journey maps
• Client presentations

Job Requirements:

• Proven ability to design methodologies forgathering user data, interpreting the results, and translating them into solutions
• Experience collaborating with design and development teams on large-scale dynamic enterprise solution
• Ability to effectively communicate research findings and designs to both internal teams and external customers, including executive stakeholders
• Experience working in an Agile Environment
• Expert user of OmniGraffle, Axure, Balsamiq, and/or Adobe Creative Suite
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint
• Portfolio of work is strongly preferred, demonstrating the depth and breadth of your experience

Preferred Education:
• Master's Degree or global equivalent in Human Computer Interaction, Information Design, Human Factors, or related HCI discipline is preferred. 5+ years of relevant work experience requested
