Our client is currently looking for a lead UX designer / information architect to join their fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and highly collaborative team to lead important strategic and tactical initiatives for their investing products. This is a long-term contract 6 - 12 months. In this role, you’ll be responsible for bringing the workplace clients—some of the nation’s largest employers— and their employees into the design process to understand their attitudes and needs around retirement plans and employee benefits. You’ll translate it all into engaging and hospitable online and responsive-ready experiences to be delivered via desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. You’ll need the creativity to scope, architect, design and support deployment activities for these experiences, as well as the presentation skills to convey your vision to top executives. You’ll need the management skills to drive the UXD team, provide overall user experience direction for the project, and guide consistency and quality of deliverables.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong information architecture and interaction design skills (responsive design experience a plus). Although the role is part of a team that includes user research, content strategy, visual design and front-end development, familiarity and collaboration with those disciplines is a necessity. In addition, given the distributed nature of the overall project team, wherein business partners and development partners sit in other locations, superb communication and “soft” skills are required.
