POSITION: User Experience Designer
REPORTS TO: Product Management

We are looking for a User Experience Designer that has proven success with B2B and B2C web products to join our product team. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone passionate about the user experience and building innovative products. You will be a key member in a talented group of application development professionals. You will be responsible for defining and validating the complete customer experience and user interface, and ensuring that products will be usable and will meet the needs of the target users. You will work very closely with product managers and developers to come up with product specifications.

The UX Designer will demonstrate solid conceptual, visualization, and communication during all phases of creative development from inception to launch. The position requires a deep understanding of current technologies and design trends, and the desire to push the limits of innovation, creativity with a keen sense of our brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Applying user-centered design processes to create high quality user experiences
• Working closely with other designers, product managers and developers to define product direction and UI requirements
• Scoping, planning and managing multiple design projects from strategic product definition to launch
• Create the user interaction model, workflows, information architecture, wireframes, and interface guidelines/specifications
• Facilitating project communication and asset exchange across a multidisciplinary team throughout all phases of the project
• Working with developers to create interactive prototypes for user and market research
• Working with customer-facing staff to understand and incorporate customer feedback into design improvements
• Work with visual design to refine and document the visual direction of Fishbowl

REQUIREMENTS:
• Candidate must have examples of B2B and B2C products they can show that demonstrate strategic creative thinking and be able to articulate why those chose the way they did to meet strategic objectives.
• Degree in Human Factors, HCI, Industrial Design, Visual arts or related area, or equivalent practical experience
• At least 3 years experience as a key member of a design team participating in the complete product development lifecycle of several successfully launched web products
• Must be process driven, demonstrate strong interaction design skills, careful attention to details and have a solid understanding of user centered design principles
• Must have solid grasp of graphic and web design principles and good understanding of current web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Experience with responsive design across multiple devices and contexts (desktop, mobile)
• Must be able to solve complex UX challenges across multiple products
• Must be able to collaborate actively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be organized, able to act independently, and able to switch rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced environment
• Relevant domain experience on B2B and B2C products
• Understanding of Agile/SCRUM methodologies
• Prototyping skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) a plus
