User Experience Designer

We are in need of a User Experience Researcher that would be responsible for developing a deep understanding of users and architect the tasks, navigation and flow throughout the web and mobile applications. Research and analyze users, evaluating whether interaction designs and prototypes allow a given user to easily and efficiently achieve objectives and goals. Design – including interaction design, visual design, and usability.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Work with developers, quality assurance, product managers and customers to optimize product usability and conduct user research and testing.
• Operate in a highly collaborative, Agile development environment, and deliver UX feedback on a regular basis.
• Map product requirements to interactive design specifications.
• Utilize wireframes, interaction flows, html-mockups and simple prototypes to test and recommend improvements to applications.
• Collaborate with other members of the UX team to create and design a consistent experience across a complex and rich feature set.
• Challenge the organization to raise the bar to inspire customers with designs that demonstrate functional and visual beauty.
• Educate others on the importance of design excellence.
• Present to Senior Leadership Team, including the CEO, to drive acceptance of your approach to UX.
• Make design principles a competitive weapon.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
• Detailed knowledge of user experience best practices.
• Strong layout design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Fireworks, InDesign, & Photoshop.
• Solid grasp of graphic and web design principles and a good understanding of current web technologies and capabilities, including specific knowledge of Web 2.0 trends, social models, or enterprise applications is a plus.
• Creativity, a penchant for problem-solving, passion, and attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree, advanced applicable degrees a plus.

Not interested in someone who is a UI Developer or a Graphic Designer who WANTS to be a UX Designer.
Would prefer someone from B2B software industry.
Will be in contact with users.
