We are seeking a USER EXPERIENCE DESIGNER who is an experienced, versatile designer who is familiar with and has a passion for creating entertaining and fun interactive experiences including web sites, games and mobile applications on multiple platforms including web, mobile and kiosk-based.

This designer must have proven background with the web and web technologies including a basic understanding of the technical systems and architecture that underlie dynamic websites. Candidate must be expert in information architecture and interface design. Portfolio presentation is expected, to include URLs of websites or samples of user interface design that reflect candidate’s work as well as documentation that led to the site, including wireframes, site maps, navigation flows, interaction design specs, etc.

Key among qualifications is the ability translate story into design. A demonstrated interest in Disney theme parks and storytelling is a distinct advantage. It is essential in this role to be adaptable to changing technology and restrictions, design challenges, deadlines, and project requirements.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the Information Architecture effort for a specific project or interaction domain as well as the standardization and streamlining of IA documentation and processes overall.
- Develop detailed navigation flows, site maps, wireframes and interface design/ functional specifications that capture site processes and all user interaction points with the system
- Participate in the creation of narrative storylines for customer experiences.
- Put together PowerPoint or Keynote pitch decks to sell ideas to management.
- Conceive of online games and activities to integrate with multiple divisions.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary project teams, often acting as a liaison between the Creative and the Technology teams
- Understand Guest needs by participating in user research efforts, as well as creating persona/ scenarios.
- Contribute to project requirement definitions by analyzing and reconciling user, business, and technical needs.
- Lead the creation of consistent information hierarchies for site navigation on both a system-wide level and a page-by-page or screen-by-screen level, while adhering to design uniformity within and across projects.
- Clarify outstanding issues, and track their resolution.
- Produce accurate, high quality work.
- Keep abreast of web trends and research new techniques.
- Provide time estimates for new work items.
- Pay attention to detail and meet deadlines.
