Our clients is seeking a contract User Experience Designer working within in the User Experience team, within the Platform & Product Services group, which is responsible for designing client-facing software platforms. You will be working with UX team members and internal client partners to develop detailed, complex, cross-platform web, mobile web and native app interaction designs . This is a contract to permanent opportunity.

The User Experience Team is responsible for software design across client-facing mobile, web and desktop platforms. We are a multi-disciplinary group of user experience designers, visual designers, prototypers and researchers. We work with strategic business and technology partners across the enterprise to build best-in-class software experiences for our users.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with all aspects of the user-centered design process, and an expert in developing detailed wireframes and interaction design documentation. They will want to show their work early and often and able to incorporate feedback to drive a more coherent, delightful client experience.

The design challenges are complex and satisfying, and your designs will launch and reach a large highly engaged audience.

Our clients interact with us across platforms including big web, mobile web and native iOS and Andoid apps. We establish common design patterns to help clients have a coherent experience.

• Creating user flows, detailed wireframes, prototypes and other interaction design artifacts.
• Working closely with the development and QA teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented, ensuring design and experience quality through the development process to launch.
• Collaborating in user research and usability efforts. Leading design sessions with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Working with business and technology partners to translate requirements into detailed interactive design solutions.
• Documenting design standards

Technical/Functional Qualifications:

• 6 + years of interaction and user interface design experience.
• 1+ year of interaction design experience for touch-based mobile interfaces is a plus
• Experience with all aspects of a user-centered interaction design process, including user research, developing user flows, creating wireframes, and creating annotated design specifications.
• Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team within an iterative, Agile methodology.
• Proficient in tools like Omnigraffle, Axure, or Sketch
• Strong self-management skills, comfortable with substantial autonomy, working directly with our client and dev partners, and capable of creating and managing design project schedules.
• Experience leading design sessions with cross-functional teams
• Shareable portfolio of artifacts you’ve produced – wireframes, user flows, journey maps, etc We want to see how you approach interaction design problems and work through a flow.
