User Experience Designer / UX Designer

Our client is looking for a UX Designer..The ideal talent will be responsible for but not limited to:

Designs the flow of the user experience for websites. strong background in Information Architecture, Interaction Design, User Interface Design, User Research, and Usability Engineering and knows how to align business strategies and requirements with established industry standards and methodologies. The User Experience Designer will be responsible for information architecture, wireframe design, applying patterns to new features and involvement in user research efforts. Must be able to work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent projects.

Top 5 daily responsibilities:

• Understand business requirements and target audiences' needs, tasks, and goals and translate them into effective information and navigation architectures, taking into account best practices and standards and ensuring room for evolutionary growth.

• Create and refine mental models, site maps, wireframes, storyboards, scenarios, task flows, and other visuals which represent the layout, flow and organization of a complex web application.

• Collaboratively produce mock-ups and prototypes for demonstration of concepts to business partners.

• Contribute to and maintain design style guides and guidelines.

Collaboration is design best practice – ability to work with a team is critical.
Self-motivating; entrepreneurial spirit.
Comfortable with ambiguity/flexible.

Minimum Work Experience
• 3+ years experience in Information Architecture (IA), Interaction Design, User Experience Design, or related fields on large-scale, dynamic applications.
Preferred Work Experience
• Intranet and/or Portal web design experience preferred.
• Knowledge of, as well as hands-on experience with, user interface evaluation techniques, including usability testing desirable.

Must have:
• Knowledge of user interface design principles, information design, and web design.
• Strong visual and graphic design skills.
• Expert using Microsoft Visio and Photoshop for wireframing.

Educational Requirements: BA or BS
