A good User Experience UI Design candidate has experience in all stages of the user-centered design process, including the ability to make strategic and tactical UI design recommendations to management and project teams based on business requirements, usability findings and standard UI design practices. The UX/UI Designer possesses the ability to rapidly prototype low/med/high fidelity UI deliverables, including sketches, annotated wireframes and design comps. This candidate will serve as a usability advocate, and promote a user-focused mindset across the organization. Design, detailed, easy-to-use, web and/or mobile applications for internal and external users.
Collaborate on solutions that meet the needs of the business and the needs of the end-user.
Translate high-level objectives and requirements into interaction flows and UI design artifacts including conceptual/functional diagrams, wireframes, and interactive prototypes
Design complete web applications in a complex corporate environment, occasionally restricted by legacy systems.
Communicate the user-centered design process and vision to team and stakeholders.
Work closely with, researchers, end-users, subject matter experts, and business analysts to design an experience that incorporates the needs of multiple parties into a single seamless user interface.
Be creative and innovative during design, while maintaining a positive approach to ambiguity.
Scope and Accountability: Candidate makes recommendations, gives direction to others, and performs work independently or with minimal supervision.
Support the growth of a budding UX research and design team and raise awareness of UX issues, tools, and techniques across the company.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree related to UI design, Human Centered Design, UX Design. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
5+ years experience designing web and/or mobile enterprise applications
Ability to establish business relationships and work effectively with business and client contacts in a dynamic, self-directed team environment. Strong interpersonal skills.
Thorough knowledge of user-centered design principles, theories, and research methodologies.
Experience designing in a LEAN UX environment and Agile/Scrum development process.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written); communicates effectively with peers, end users, and all levels of corporate management. Excellent active listening and presentation skills.
Experience in logistics and/or supply chain management is desired.
Solid project management, time management, and prioritization skills.
Experience designing on Windows OS with Axsure and Adobe Creative Cloud preferred.
