User Experience Designer - Mobile/Web

0 people like this description

Our client's new user centric design product team is in the process of breaking down their present design system in order to build a brand spankin’ new and improved UX/UI/Viusal design ecosystem—so we are looking for an inspired designer to aid in collaboration, brainstorming and overall brilliant execution.

• A self starter with amazing blow-me-out-of-the water design skills that is only superseded by your time management skills.
• A seasoned (at least 3 years) UI/UX designer with some experience with Visual Design.
• You start to conceptualize ideas at kick-off meeting.
• You are always sketching.
• You know Adobe CS like the back of your hand.
• Regardless, you have your tool kit and can make any idea into a working prototype.
• Your portfolio is all yours with the possibility of exception for photography, illustration and HTML
• You are fast. Hummingbird wings-flapping fast.
• You are comfortable in an agile development environment and good at balancing collaboration and advocacy.
• You can sell design.
• You are totally cool taking direction, but still be self-driven and comfortable communicating ideas and points of view.
• You understand front end and back end language and processes. You like working with developers.
• You can fly by the seat of your pants. You got all “A”s in school in comprehension.
• You have your finger on the pulse of industry news, best practices and insights.
• You have an irreverent sense of humor and can laugh easily.
• Do you live or want to live in the Bay Area, working in a building with the best view of San Francisco (we are 10 minutes away across the bay bridge)?

• UX/UI--60%
Audits, User Flows, Use Cases, User Testing, Document Sitemaps, Wireframes, Visual Design Comps, Templates & GUI libraries.

• Prototyping--15%
It doesn‘t matter what you use: Flinto, Marvell, Indesign, CSS, whatever--when you present, your work has to move.

• Visual Design--15%
You must have a keen eye for spacial relationships and type. You can follow a styleguide and add to the design system we are building.

• User Testing--10%
We just hired a new user testing analyst, but this role would be working with that person so its important to understand user testing methods.

• Note: The site needs a lot of love but we are the product team--our main focus is on web and native applications. You won’t see what we are doing unless you sign up. And at the present product too needs a lot of love--that’s why we need you!
