You will be passionate and provide thought leadership, while also cultivating that same passion in your fellow UX team members and inspiring them to deliver the same high quality work.

You should have a deep understanding of the user experience landscape – one that draws on your knowledge of generative and evaluative research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, content strategy and your understanding of the possibilities and limitations of technology. You will synthesize research findings with design, enabling you to translate those insights into meaningful, actionable design criteria and/or artifacts.

You should enjoy facilitating alignment between business stakeholders and research/design teams while keeping the user experience at the core of those discussions. You must possess excellent communication and organization skills. You will present work to clients and build relationships with business partners, establishing yourself as an expert in your field and a reliable resource. You should be comfortable planning, facilitating and participating in opportunity workshops, brainstorming activities and other idea-generating team sessions.

You will be expected to think holistically and tell engaging stories. You will be able to guide the client toward the right solutions by forming compelling and informed persuasive arguments. You will help evangelize a chosen direction, recognizing which battles to fight and the appropriate opportunities to push boundaries. This means you have the ability to work within given business constraints and can ensure alignment of execution to business goals while producing user-centered results.
