User Experience Brainchild

Our client in Northern Virginia is desperately seeking a User Experience Brainchild.

The Brainchild is constantly proposing better ways to do everything from preparing her morning coffee to the overarching operation of Starfleet. They have an eerie omniscience and seem to know what changes are coming down the ranks even before the officers do.

The Brainchild gets along with anyone they meet and has the ability to speak anyone’s language. They are naturally curious and is always teaming up with their colleagues to brainstorm new ideas that constantly result in another new industry award on the shelf.

The Brainchild's favorite show to make fun of is Star Trek, particularly when anyone on the bridge interacts with a computer. Ultimately, their coworkers say they’re innovative, passionate, and can often be heard starting random conversations with “Ooo! Ooo! Wouldn’t it be cool if...?!”

They use their inspirational and broad service design experience as a visionary and strategic service designer to work on a range of topics.

The Brainchild designs extraordinary experiences and the service structures that support them (including process, IT, human capital, and service blueprints).

They work with IT teams to identify technical dependencies/challenges, as well as potential solutions.

By designing and delivering research and translating human-centered insights. They use the latest tools and even creates new ones and sees trends and inspiration at every turn.

• 3+ years of experience with user-experience, service design, design research, business design, and user-interface design
• 2+ years of experience in working with IT architecture and systems, including for the purposes of implementing digital solutions
• 1+ years of experience in working with digital technologies, including mobile, Web, and apps and prototyping tools, including Balsamiq, Jetstrap, and ProtoShare
• Experience with client negotiation and setting expectations against real-world limitations
• Ability to be inspiring, open-minded, hardworking, collaborative, and passionate
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• BA or BS degree

• Experience in a consulting, facilitation, or training a plus
• Experience with visualization tools, including AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, or Illustrator a plus
• Experience with business modeling, research and analytics, and development a plus
• BA or BS degree in Design, Social Sciences, Business, or a related field preferred; MA or MS degree in Design, Social
• Sciences, Business, or a related field a plus
