User Experience Architect

This UX Architect must eat, drink, and breathe UX. The ideal candidate will be active in UX groups, commenting in UX LinkedIn communities, and constantly learning about the latest and greatest in the UX world.

The User Experience Architect is extremely organized and business savvy with the ability to understand
business goals and translate them into an effective user experience. The right candidate will push the
envelope of user experience and creativity to design the next generation of our client's website and other public and
private facing websites around the world, which attract over two million unique visitors each month.

This candidate should have experience with large scale B2B websites and a robust portfolio of flowcharts,
wireframes, and mockups that showcase purpose driven decision making as well as a keen eye for
typography and design.

The ideal candidate will have experience with responsive design, mobile design, and an understanding of
HTML & CSS (but this is not a coding role).

Primary Duties / Responsibilities
- Translate business goals, requirements and usability heuristics into innovative web experiences following the latest usability principles
Influence user experience by collaborating with strategists, creative and development teams
- Collaborate in brainstorming sessions with product development and craft UI concepts to aid in discussion
- Produce flow charts, site architecture, taxonomies, wireframes, screen layouts, and user interface specifications
- Evaluate the competitive landscape and new UI technologies
- Prioritize functional requirements and translate them into solid UI solutions
- Document and present concepts to the creative, strategy and technical teams
- Work with designers to ensure user experience requirements are accurately translated
- Work with developers to ensure feasibility and execution of design
- Coordinate with usability team and apply data gathered from user sessions into designs
- Identify and solve user interface and information design challenges
- Continuously challenge effectiveness of design, recommend changes based on data backed decisions
- Collaborate with UX leadership to establish user experience vision and guiding principles
- Stay up to date with UI development tools and processes
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects

Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities)
- 6-8 years of experience designing/wire-framing consumer oriented website interfaces
- Experience creating responsive design website templates
- Experience crafting scalable interfaces compatible with language translation.
- Well versed in industry standard technologies such as HTML, CSS, AJAX, HTML 5, and publishing systems.
- Strong innovation and creative design skills
- A team player who enjoys problem solving in a highly collaborative environment
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Able to communicate technical concepts in verbal or written form using everyday language
- A practitioner and advocate UX best practices
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
- Constantly looking for ways to leverage new and emerging web technologies to enhance the user experience
- A passion for staying up-to-date on emerging web technologies.
- Knowledge of how content and design impacts SEO

Requirements (Education, Certification, Training, and Experience)
Bachelor's degree in Human Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, Visual Arts, Graphic Design or related field.
Highly proficient with Axure, Visio (or other flowcharting software) and Photoshop.
A large web portfolio with a range of interactive samples
