We are looking for a Researcher to design and conduct user-centered research and evaluations of existing designs and design concepts, leveraging a multitude of qualitative and quantitative research methods, from in-person interviews to usability studies to surveys. You will collaborate closely with design, engineering, and business partners to understand product goals and strategies, and identify information gaps and needs. You will translate your research findings into actionable insights and evangelize findings to engineering and business leaders. Ideal candidates must be curious about human behavior and exhibit creativity in approaching research design, must be comfortable with ambiguity and complexity, and must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
About the Team
The group is comprised of 30 designers, 100+ Engineers, and 3 researchers. This position is working on IT Pro user experience. Manager aspect for teams. Allocating accounts, phone numbers, managing. More technically based. It’s a new app, making it very exciting to be in the process. It’s a growing business. The research space is challenging, as they are incorporating new functionality into an app that hasn’t been designed before. There is a change to get to know the customers well. Not just a data analyst role. You will be doing hands on research. There is a change for a high degree of impact. The team needs someone to do the research aspect, which has been missing.
Day to Day
You will be partnering with the product manager and design lead working on the management aspect of the app. You will be responsible for gathering research to support design activities. Customer visits. Calls/interviews, research done online, user testing, user zoom (remote research tools). Responsible for written and disseminating the research. Integrating into design process. There is a lot of fluidity. Will be working independently.
- Experience conducting quantitative research and data
- Experience working with teams on the research finding and turning them into product
- Would like to see IT space in their background, but at least worked on technically orientated (cloud service would be ideal)
