Usability Researcher

This role will give candidates a great opportunity to experience a new product launch as well as all of the work that goes into it. Their feedback will be directly used to help improve the product and ensure a smooth launch.

The team does research from a product perspective, they create innovative experiences for new audiences. They will work with an existing product during the launch phase and will be working with it from a usability perspective. They will work with the product in the field and at the office. A candidate will be working with potential customers and end users.

Conduct user and market research to understand the needs and desires of your target audience. Research, document and deliver detailed reviews of competitive products including analysis of product features, design, perceived strengths and weaknesses. Research, document and deliver detailed reviews of products including comparisons to past, current and future competitive offerings. Document and present recommendations based on research and analysis. Work with the supervising Usability Engineer or Manager in identifying and addressing critical usability issues.

Requirements:
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Involvement in research studies in a lab environment
• Moderate focus groups
• Conducting field work
• Capable of identifying key issues after working with the product, timely research, maintaining clear documentation that can be given back to the design teams
• Ability to travel if needed. There will be travel involved as some of the customers are in the US as well as international. They will try and limit that, but it might happen as needed
