Aquent's Fortune 500 CLIENT is in search of a Usability Analyst as follows:

Usability Analyst
Location: Onsite only at Basking Ridge, NJ
Candidate must be onsite M-F during normal business hours at their Basking Ridge, NJ
Duration: 12 months with likely extension
Pay Rate: DOE
Drug Screen, Background Check and NDA required

PRIMARY SKILL REQUIREMENT: being able to run usability tests for customers

CLIENT'S passion is creating engaging and delighting user experiences and they’re looking for a talented Usability Analyst to join their team. You'll be working with creative, business and engineering teams to create engaging experiences for mobile, tablet, web and CE devices. Working with multiple groups to develop complex digital products will require “Out-of-the-box” thinking, a collaborative nature, and the ability to challenge the status quo while achieving the goal.


• Provide testing data inputs to inform high-quality end-to-end customer experiences
• Create screeners, recruit, build tasks for testing and create synthesized actionable recommendation
• Manage recruiting process and build screeners that successfully target the right customers for testing.
• Conduct iterative concept testing studies for mobile, tablet and web experiences to understand the right attitudes, behaviors and features for our target market
•.Perform heuristic analysis, wireframe analysis, card sorting exercises and competitive testing both on the web and in-person
• Analyze online surveys with customers for qualitative and quantitative analysis
•.Deliver statistical analysis of quantitative data using SPSS statistical tool
•.Consolidate customer feedback from blogs, app stores, product feedback links and customer support reps and provide top-line recommendations for product improvement
•.Work with creative, business and engineering teams to deliver testing feedback and ensure it gets incorporated into the end experience.
• Work in a cross-functional team of designers, product management, and copywriters to concept and develop solutions that are effective, authentic and innovative.
• Work with business development, marketing, product management to understand their business goals and create design solutions which help them meet those goals
• Keep abreast of industry development and new technologies

The ideal candidate is passionate about making great experiences based on customer input and is adept at translating data into meaningful customer needs.

• Bachelor's Degree required in HCI, UX or Usability testing
• 4-8 years’ experience as a Usability Analyst
• Passionate about mobile products and technology
• A portfolio that demonstrates superior creative thinking and problem solving skills
• Attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles
• Understand how content, design, and UI work together for an optimal user experience
• Iteratively follows the design thinking process by iterating based on customer feedback
• Proven success driving programs in a matrixed environment
• Understanding of the agency process, design process, and project management for design engagements
• Champion user experience and design best practices to stakeholders throughout the organization.
• Excellent organization skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and adjust to frequent changes and priorities
• Self-starter who can keep the big picture in mind, work through details, and sell ideas
• Team player who works well with others

• Experience working in or with product management (PLM), marketing, or business development teams
• 1-2 years working with software/hardware products (across Tablets, TV, and CE devices)
• Experience collaborating with creative talent
