UX/Usability Researcher

We are a startup product team creating a breakthrough cloud platform, that will change how people work together. Our charter is to bring solutions that remove organizational boundaries from the process of how people collaborate, and where information from heterogeneous sources is shared safely and seamlessly. We are seeking a motivated, creative and customer-focused Design Researcher, who is passionate about cloud technologies and collaboration systems.

In this role, you will work closely with the Senior UX Designer leading the research initiative in the team, as well as with the interdisciplinary team of UI designers and program managers. Your work will help to inform the current and future design choices, and ultimately deliver the next generation of experiences. As a Design Researcher, you will have the opportunity to employ the wide range of research methodologies including moderated and unmoderated usability studies, prototype testing and survey research. You will have the opportunity to provide new methods, patterns and practices that contribute to the UX community.

The successful candidate will be customer obsessed, data driven and well versed in research mythologies. You will need to think strategically, have strong research practices, can target research findings to the variety of different audiences. You will need to be able to work in agile environment and able to adjust quickly if priories shift. Additionally, you will need to be detail oriented and thorough in your approach to the research protocol, but flexible enough to work within time and product constrains. Most importantly, you will need to be a passionate advocate for users and able to demonstrate how design research leads to measurable business value.

Required Qualifications
• At least 2+ years of experience in the technology industry conducting user research
• Advanced degree in Human Computer Interactions, Human Factors or Human Factors Psychology, Psychology or Industrial Engineering
• Experience in defining and tracking user experience metrics, moderating research studies, analyzing findings and compiling research reports
• Experience with broad range of research methodologies (usability studies, interviews, surveys etc.)
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies is a must. Strong written and oral communication skills are required


Preferred Qualifications (not required)
• Experience running unmoderated studies using platforms, optimal workshop, Qualtrics
• Experience with independently running usability studies, from test plans and scripts to insights
Understanding of CRM and ERP systems
