UX/UI Web Designer

Company seeks UI/UX Web Designer to drive all facets of the brand’s digital visual design, user experience, and creative production across the company's network of sites and digital marketing communications. Reporting to the chief brand officer, the UX/UI web designer will be well-versed in responsive and mobile-first design practices, and will be expected to stay at the forefront of digital creative and development. This is a full-time, onsite role.

While playing a critical role in the strategy and execution of online creative marketing initiatives, the UX/UI web designer will also work very closely with the broader marketing organization to help develop brand marketing programs across the company media mix. Teamwork will be essential in order to coordinate and facilitate integrated programs while working with both the internal marketing department and outside agency partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Taking a strategic and creative approach to all design work, the UX/UI web designer will drive and support their ideas from initial concepts through successful launches of projects.

Responsible for overseeing and creating all web assets which include UX/UI wireframes, “style tiles”, graphic elements, visual designs, and solutions for day-to-day production including site features, image/content updates, product marketing launch assets, and online promotions.

Design, develop and produce web features and external communications, including but not limited to, new and existing product launches, banners, 3rd party promotions, microsites, emails, and overall visual site enhancements.

Communicate design goals and messages to creative participants and key stakeholders, ensuring integration of design requirements into all phases of production.

Work closely with internal print design team, other designers, and outside agencies to help drive creative marketing and site design strategies/ execution for projects beyond internal capabilities

Take a “player/manager” role in execution of digital design efforts, both performing design functions and managing other internal and external designers and digital production staff in creation and development of projects that meet brand and campaign guidelines

KEY FUNCTIONS:
The candidate is a conceptual designer who has solid core design skills and a working knowledge of front-end development skills in HTML5/CSS3. The candidate has the ability to clearly communicate intended functionality to developers to ensure a great user experience at completion. The candidate will demonstrate good judgment in design, selecting methods and techniques best suited for responsive, mobile-first design. Utilizing your understanding of interactive design patterns and trends, you’ll create memorable user experiences to maximize engagement.
