UX/UI Designer II

Vitamin T is currently in search of a UI / UX Designer for our client in Flint, MI. This is a contract position with the opportunity to become permanent with our client!


Responsible for defining and executing a consistent and repeatable process in an agile environment for addressing the user interface, visual design and implementation, and human workflow for all solutions. Additionally, the ideal talent is responsible for exemplifying the definition of the ideal customer experience while balancing marketing initiatives and the technological recommendations of programmers, taking business requirements and turning them into desirable executions that will exceed customer expectations, and drive efficiency and user engagement.

Responsible for working in close collaboration with the development team and the product team to conceptualize, design, reimage, implement, and refine digital experiences in a software development environment and contributing to interactive marketing initiatives by performing the following duties.

Duties / Responsibilities:

-Translate feature necessities into polished experience architecture deliverables including wireframes, navigational maps, conceptual models, and procedure flows for software applications
-Work with fellow platform developers, product marketing, information architects, application development consumers, and other stakeholders from initial concept through final implementation
-Implement wire frames using standard methods, practices, and programming languages that create a hierarchal design structure that can be efficiently adhered to by other team members
-Run browser compatibility tests and efficiency tests to determine the accuracy of the logic to produce desired results, modifies, and revises code based on test results
-Report, analyze, and provide feedback on the effectiveness of software and collaborates with internal teams to improve results
-Research practice that relate to UI/UX and the utilization of focus groups for various types of usability tests
-Maintain an awareness of current industry trends in interaction design
-Responsible for understanding pharmacy business strategies and how it relates to software solutions

Knowledge / Skills:

-Knowledge of Microsoft products and Adobe Creative Suite
-Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
-Ability to prioritize and appropriately manage time
-Oral and written communication skills
-Willingness to learn and grow on the position, with a positive work attitude
-Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask
-Self motivated, and able to work independently, with minimal supervision
-Strong eye for design
-Customer service skills
-Ability to act as a subject matter expert and consultant on digital experience design to internal stakeholders and programmers
-Technical skills in languages and software including .NET, HTML, CSS, Adobe CS Suite, JavaScript and ASP

Degree in the realm of UX / UI / IA and 6-8 years related experience in a UI/UX role that works closely with programmers preferred
