UX/UI Designer, Gaming

The UI/UX Designer should have a minimum of 5 - 7 years of professional design/user experience for software, which leverage new/existing technologies and mobile devices. The candidate should have a thorough understanding of user experience design for social applications and freemium mobile games. The candidate should have excellent skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and other related creative software. This candidate should have a strong technical background or the ability to quickly understand and articulate interactions in a complex technical environment, specifically in regards to new tech (mobile, JavaScript, HTML, ect). Candidate should have strong Design & Typography skills and have at least 4 – 6 years Design background in a fast-paced production environment. Knowledge of content production for Mobile Phones is a huge plus. The candidate should demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.

• BA/BFA degree Illustration, Interaction Design, or Graphic Design/Graphic Arts
• Minimum of 5 - 7 years experience in Web, Graphic Design or Game Studio
• Understanding of fundamental design principles such as UI, UX, color theory, motion graphics, layout, and typography
• Excellent project planning and organization skills, attention to detail, and creativity
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional team and successfully launch high quality products
• Familiarity with common mobile/web standards and technologies
• Minimum of 4 - 6 years experience with Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash
• Strong Production experience
• Traditional animation skills a plus (2D or 3D)
• 3D software (Maya) a plus
• Leading and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team for user experience planning and development
• Generate crisp, innovative, and elegant design solutions for complex mobile products
• Responsible for execution of strong interaction design and visual design principles
• Lead rapid iterations and testing on a variety of ideas using wireframes and sketches to fully designed comps
• Work closely with the Director, of Art Director, the PM’s and Art Leads to help lead the strategic vision of the project
• Enthusiastically partner with user research specialists to understand the goals of multiple user types and create designs that uphold their needs
• Partner with engineers to collaborate and iterate in fast-paced design-build cycles
• Facilitate dialog around end-user requirements and business requirements
• Help build a dynamic, creative environment in which you can design while also motivating and mentoring other team members
• Researching interaction design trends
