UX/Tech Designer

We are seeking an Interaction Designer to join our team of interaction, visual, motion, and integration designers to help us reinvent entertainment powered by the cloud and available across multiple screens. The experiences we create are for a diverse audience – from hard core gamers to casual media consumers across TV, PC, Web, and Mobile. We partner closely with Engineering and Business partners to envision, design, and deliver entertainment experiences that are simple to use and beautiful.
You must have a clear understanding of each facet of the design process, including information architecture, interaction design, research and usability, rapid prototyping, visual design, motion design, brand integration, and content creation. You have demonstrated ability to effectively partner with planners, program managers, developers, and testers to shepherd end to end experiences from concept to ship. You are a great creator, collaborator, and communicator.

Primary responsibilities include:
• Shipping products that work well for our customers on time and at high quality
• Participate in and help facilitate design brainstorming and work sessions
• Produce storyboards, design briefs, sketches, interaction guidelines, information architectures, wireframes, and other artifacts required to develop and evolve user experience designs
• Work with visual designers, motion designers, and prototypers to ensure the interaction design enhances the overall user experience
• Work across the team to ensure our ecosystem has consistent interactions throughout our products
• Deliver interaction assets to development counterparts on time and with quality
• Work with user researchers to coordinate testing efforts, interpret test results, and incorporate results into design efforts
• Effectively communicate with developers through implementation to realize design vision
• Communicate, defend, and build consensus around interaction assets and design direction


Qualifications include:
• At least 2 years of product design experience
• Extremely strong design sensibilities and process; ability to use creative briefs, storyboards, sketches, user scenarios, task flows, interaction guidelines, information architectures, wireframes, etc. to create breakthrough designs
• Deep understanding of fundamental interaction design thinking and best practices
• Meticulous sense of detail and ability to seek out simple solutions to complex challenges
• Always approach a project from multiple angles, and deliver a variety of solutions
• Familiarity with competitor analysis, heuristic analysis, ethnographic research, guided explorations, and usability testing
• Experience with and understanding of a variety of design, project management, and development processes and methodologies including agile development methods
• Experience in delivering quality assets to partners on time
• Fluency in current entertainment and social media trends
• Demonstrable ability to work confidently with Program Management, Development, Product Planning, Brand, Marketing and Usability
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skills
• Understand the array of technical constraints, user goals, and business requirements that shape current and future products
• Expertise with Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and all related business and design tools
• A minimum of a BA/BS degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Interface Design, Interaction Design, or equivalent experience
