1. UX Designer- Boston- Temp to hire-onsite

Create design deliverables such as process flows, wireframes, graphic design assets, specifications, and prototypes •Work with stakeholders to understand goals, requirements, personas, and context •Collaborate effectively with UX colleagues, technical team members, and other project stakeholders •Perform qualitative user research to understand user needs and evaluate design solutions •Establish and document interaction design standards for common usage Qualifications •5+ years experience designing websites and web apps; mobile design and Agile experience a plus •Demonstrable experience designing complex, data driven web and/or mobile applications •Strong portfolio of work showing information architecture, interaction, and visual design artifacts such as sitemaps, process flows, high-fidelity wireframes, screen comps, and functional prototypes •Understanding of qualitative user research methods •Proficiency working with design software tools including Adobe CS5 on your preferred OS •Ability to work in an unstructured, start-up environment

2. Usability Consultant Boston- Temp 4-6 weeks, on site, part or full time hours-flexible schedule-on site

More usability/UX than UX/Designer - Instructional Design experience definitely a plus (doesn't have to BE an instructional designer but working with e-learning good) - Freelance 4-6 weeks - Part-time might be OK but needs to be onsite if possible - Variety of backgrounds are being considered. The role is for a company focused on educational reading material. Overall Project Goal: To evaluate the effectiveness of the current General Chemistry media package from an instructional design perspective and report to which elements are most effective at helping students learn, and which elements are not effective. 3. UX/IA Norwood- Temp to hire-on site

A User Experience Designer is responsible for defining solutions that meet clients’ business goals and target audience needs. The UX Designer focuses on end user research, information architecture, user interface & interaction design and optimizing usability. Other responsibilities for client projects include: • Work closely with clients to help define target audience needs and motivational factors and translate them into concepts for compelling interactions and experiences • Work with a strategist to define the clients’ business requirements; business and project goals to be referenced with every UX deliverable • Participate in immersive user research, concept testing, card sorting, and usability testing • Leverage client documentation and lead key-stakeholder working sessions to understand a projects’ functional requirements and document them • Create UX deliverables to precisely detail users’ experience and interaction specifications through an application and/or web site • Provide subject matter expertise for best practices in information architecture, interaction design, and usability In addition to project work, the User Experience Designer has internal responsibilities, which include: • Participate in and lead scoping new work, creating realistic UX estimates • Foster an environment that enables great work for the sake of business and results • Contribute to Cramer’s UX process and methodology • Communicate well with project team to foster project collaboration Qualifications: • Degree in a related field, such as technical communications, human-computer interaction, library science, graphic design or industrial design • 4 – 6 years experience developing interactive products/solutions • 3 – 5 years experience as an information architect, interaction designer, or experience designer • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills • Experience in client services • Experience observing user research and translating user research into design decisions • Excellent human factors and usability analysis skills • Formalized client requirements gathering experience • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Visio • Experience with CMS implementations

4. IA- Boston-Ongoing contract-onsite

Our client, a large well-known agency in Boston, needs an Information Architect to work indefinitely on-site with a financial client. Must have strong samples/wireframes and be available/able to work on site.

5. & 6. 2 roles at the same company: Sr UX and Mid Level UX designers needed in Cambridge-6 month contract 40 hours a week

In this role you will bring an informed approach for researching, defining and building the information architecture for a major product redesign for one of our Fortune 100 clients. You will work along side other senior team members and clients and help manage junior team members. To succeed you must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a skilled design sense, strong self-motivation, a great ability to work at a quick pace. Responsibilities - Working closely with business analysts, business sponsors, project managers and IT teams to obtain and understand business requirements. - Managing and creating the new product architecture by applying client research, design standards, industry best practices in the form of high quality wireframes - Leading review sessions with project teams, acquiring consensus and getting approvals on designs and documentation. - Continuously developing self and the team by staying current of industry trends and best practices. - Acting as a user experience advocate and thought leader regarding principles of user experience and user-centered design. - Manage the project team’s expectations Skills and Deliverables - Expertise creating detailed wireframes - Expertise in creating sitemaps and user flows - Comfortable creating concept/layout sketches by hand - Experience with designing for transactional applications - Experience with large scale online projects – full project lifecycle - Financial experience is a major plus
