Education is looking for an Information Architect to conduct the analysis, design and documentation of Education suite of digital textbooks and elearning sites. The ideal candidate will have a passion for employing a user-centered methodology as well as a love for designing and documenting the details that makes for a successful user experience.

Responsibilities:
• Define site functionality, navigation and interaction paradigms, site architecture schemes for ease of use and customer engagement.
• Develop sitemaps, flowcharts, annotated wireframes and functional specs to effectively communicate UI behavior and relationships to development team and business.
• Identify areas where user experience can differentiate the product.
• Express ideas and strategies for user experiences in visual and prototype forms for review by the product team.
• Help manage the integration of functional, technical, aesthetic, emotional, human and environmental factors to provide an optimal user experience.
• Collaborate with fellow team members to arrive at solutions and ensure the goals of functional design are maintained throughout development of product.

Track Record of Creating:

• elegant navigation systems
• effective labeling systems & indexing systems
Experience with:
• dynamical content management data-base driven pages
• designing for educational software (for admins, teachers and students)
• federated search engines, personalization engines and community tools
Other:
• Adept with relevant design and information flow software including such as Axure, Illustrator, Photoshop, HTML development.
• Bachelors degree in related field required, masters in HCI ideal.
• Experience with the Agile/Lean product development process a plus

Work Experience:
5+ years experience in one or more of the following areas: information design, interaction design, user interface design, or software application design. A review of portfolio work is required, with an emphasis on problem-solutions strategies.
