UX/IA - Usability Designer

Currently seeking a UX/IA Designer. This role will focus in on User Research, Flows, Usability Testing, Information Architecture, Wireframing, Prototypes, etc rather than visual UX/UI Design, but you should have a strong visual design sense. Someone who is passionate about their craft, can drive the creation of compelling visual communications, and enjoy interacting with clients, especially during presentations. About You:

As a UX designer you will drive the creation of compelling visual communications; including web sites, multimedia advertisements, social applications, mobile apps.
Your creativity, understanding of user experience principles, and strong aesthetic sensibilities will contribute to our portfolio, and yours.
You will work collaboratively with other designers, developers and architects.
You are an individual with a well-rounded skill set including Photoshop and Illustrator expertise, a basic familiarity of the web development process, great attention to detail, and proven expertise in graphical design for the web & mobile.

Responsibilities:
Maintaining and enhancing the creative strategy developed by creative director
Providing strong conceptual design solutions that have met clients needs and goals 
while maintaining the user experience guidelines
Supporting Creative Director Design major components of a site and set standards across project assets, often global in scope
Create draft compositions, mockups and prototypes
Conduct and apply photographic & typographic research on design practices, identifying problems and proposing creative solutions
Synthesize feedback from multiple sources and iterating rapidly on mockups
Fulfill several project requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
Strong conceptual design skills and problem solving skills as it relates to the user experience, and navigational structure (design, typographic, photographic, animation and video)
Ability to work in teams in a fast-paced client service environment--able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and be deadline oriented
Work with Producer, Creative Director, Tech Director, Copywriters, Programmers and other team members on an ongoing basis to insure open communications throughout the design process.

Requirements:
Strong visual design sense General familiarity with usability best practices
Basic understanding of interactive development and responsive design principles
Experience designing and implementing web sites with a strong knowledge of graphic editing and optimization
Excellent attention to detail, keen eye for clean UI implementation and knowledge of design best practices
Excellent communication, and organizational skills
Proficient knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
Familiarity with of all popular browser & device versions and their impact on the design approach.

Preferred Skills & Experience:
Online portfolio of work required (please include online portfolio links)
Any web development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) is a plus, but this position is 100% design oriented
The ability to quickly comp up visual concepts and manage content updates is a big plus
