Aquent's Fortune 500 retail client is looking for a UX Visual Designer to work a 4 month contract on-location in Richfield, MN (suburb of Minneapolis).

As a member of the Retail User Experience team, you will join a growing Retail UX Center of Excellence charged with improving and transforming digital products used within our retail locations across the United States. The products we deliver are retail sales associate facing. We are a fast paced, highly collaborative, and ultimately positive group of UX Strategists, Researchers, Information Architects, and Visual Designers.

Project Description:
The Retail User Experience team seeks a short term passionate, collaborative, and outgoing candidate to join our fast-paced group. As a UX Visual Designer you will be responsible for executing both conceptual and production designs for a variety of digital experiences used on a variety of devices. Our work consists of various tablet, desktop, and mobile projects that exist within our retail locations across the US. Our end users are retail sales associates. You will have a strong attention to detail and be able to review the final developed product and conduct full UX and design quality assurance to ensure final product meets design standards.

Postion Overview:
- Be the support designer for numerous fast paced projects
- Able to quickly and seamlessly move between designing for different platforms and fully understand the nuances between all
- Be responsible for designing solutions that adhere the Retail Visual Design Language, used to guide all design decisions for our Retail applications
- Perform UX and design quality assurance against developed applications and log defects with development teams
- Collaborate with other UX resources to deliver the optimal design solution based on requirements
- Create graphical assets for desktop and tablet devices to deliver to development teams
- Create design and typography guidelines for on and off shore development teams

Collaboration is at the center of how we develop experiences and you will be able to hold conversations with, and present to, information architects, strategists, writers, developers, business analysts, business stakeholders, and project managers. You should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to self-define tasks, deadlines, and next steps as needed.

Qualifications
- Online portfolio required for submission
- 2+ years’ experience designing for interactive experiences
- Expert Adobe Creative Suite Skills
- Touch and mobile first experience including multi-device responsive design
- Experience working on website, tablet applications and other touch-based interfaces
- Understanding of HTML/CSS (position does not include front-end development)
- Experience working on website, tablet applications and other touch-based interfaces
- Expert Adobe Creative Suite skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in eCommerce
- Bachelors Degree in graphic design
- Agile/Iterative experience
Bonus Qualifications
- Front end development experience
- OmniGraffle, Visio or Axure experience

Personality Skills:
• Strong ability to collaborate and assert a point of view positively
• Comfortable with ambiguity
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working in a large corporate environment is a plus
