UX/ UI Experience Architect

UX/ UI Experience Architect (contract)

The client has created a successful E-commerce platform that can create everything from promotional banners and catalogues to rich lifestyle content apps – they then rapidly optimise and deliver them across tablets, mobiles, kiosk and beyond into connected TV. They work with international high Street Brands.

Key duties and responsibilities:

Provide leadership and direction in designing the information architecture and experience model for the new solution
Provide thought leadership and applying user-centric design thinking
Conceptualise and articulate complex ideas, then document them (using appropriately chosen, informed deliverables such as sketches, wireframes, prototypes, site maps, user flow, personas, and scenarios) to drive decisions, facilitate understanding, and reach consensus
Have an innate sense of and strong opinion about good usability when it comes to web applications, and an ability to clearly articulate both.
Work with technical architects, business analysts and developers to inform the functional designs of systems
Enjoy working within a agile development team and helping focus on realistic deliverables

Knowledge, skills and experience required

Demonstrate a strong belief in user-centric design coupled with the ability to explain how to approach design and flexibility execute a methodology for different types of clients
Possess solid UX skills in the areas of user research, personas, workflows and wireframes
Ability to quickly grasp the fundamentals of a complex domain and come up with UX solutions that are simple and well-organised
Must have experience working with content creation solutions such as CMS, Digital Asset Management
Demonstrate ease and confidence visualising ideas with simple lo-fi tools
Equally demonstrate comfort translating ideas into highly detailed and annotated wireframes
Able to generate multiple UX solutions for a given problem
Lead group workshops to come up with user personas, user goals, workflows and quick wireframes
Have run usability and user testing workshops
Extensive experience working as an information architect, interaction designer, or user experience designer.
Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as information design, human-computer interaction, cognitive science, graphic design, or industrial design
Experience with Adobe Design Tools
Excellent written, listening and presentations skills.
Self-discipline and motivation
Portfolio required

Ideally you will have experience working with single and multi- brand e-commerce retail and worked within SaaS and cloud based solutions.
