UX Technologist

Our interactive media client is seeking a UX Technologist to help drive the next generation of experiences for their clients.

The UX Technologist leads aspects associated with this role, as well as collaborates solutions with research, directors, art directors, designers, architects and other UX specialists for various products and features, and is an integral member of the UX team's creative process in delivering world class customer experiences.

What you'll be doing:
- Strong ability to do computer-aided design, and write specification documents.
- Familiar with components and BOM costs. Partner with engineering team and outside vendors to source materials and push for the right decisions to bring designs to life.
- Ability to build both physical and digital prototypes in order to facilitate iterative design through 3D printing, material use and digital prototyping in environments like Arduino and Adobe AIR.
- Expert ability to reverse engineer products and can create best practices with regard to world-class user experience.
- Broaden the bandwidth of our user-research and design teams through the teardown of current consumer electronics products and their respective GUIs.
- Build and integrate electrical lab and prototyping capabilities within the company. Procure, maintain, and evolve equipment and software.
- Provide strategic insights and tactical working knowledge with current standards, platforms, and frameworks used across front end and middleware integration layers of software development including: HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript, Adobe ActionScript/Flash/AIR, and Apple iOS.
- Experience & strong familiarity with all or most of the following: Google Android /openFrameworks/Cinder and Processing along with hardware prototyping platforms such as Arduino, Phidgets, and Microsoft Kinect for Windows.
