Vitamin T's client who manages website optimizations, redesigns and content development and deployment is looking for a UX Strategist to join their team in a temp to perm opportunity.

Looking for someone who can make a content strategy for a 3000 page website and be able to design a content marketing program for educational articles, videos, quizzes and games that extends across the marketing ecosystem. This person will perform audits, create strategies that align business goals, brand positioning and content creation efforts with customer needs. Looking for someone who understands Content Management Systems, who can think in terms of taxonomy, SEO, and information architecture, especially content prioritization for responsive websites. The ideal candidate can work in a team with User experience experts to help define all this using best practice documentation for content strategy.

The Content Strategist is responsible for identifying, acquiring, developing, packaging and delivering content resulting from the collaboration of a multi-disciplinary team including Visual Designers, Interaction Designers, Copy Writers, Account specialists, Accessibility specialists, and other members of the the UX and Creative teams. You will then work with Information Architects to structure the content to fit the medium. You develop the requirements for written content as well as the guidelines for its use, and ensure a consistent and cohesive user experience from a content perspective. You also participate in definition of require me nts for functional content such as widgets, games or other applications and their place in the overall range of content in a project.

You monitor the project to guarantee that the content is correctly organized, tagged, stored and presented. You know that it is on-strategy, logically placed, comprehensible and appropriate to the target audiences.

The CS will:
Define the right content for the right audience, to be delivered at the right moment in time to the right channel for the segment
Perform competitive site, media and channel analysis and benchmarking in content breadth, organization and presentation.
Create development plans for web content; recommending content types and organization based on user needs and marketing goals, and identifying content gaps.
Define content research requirements for effective user research and testing.
Identify, analyze, and document Web content for migration to new systems or new versions of a site.
Possess an excellent understanding of the basics of user experience design, and the ability to translate information architecture documentation.
Work with the user experience team to develop (and support) a new information architecture.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, or a related field. Experience in library science a plus.
5+ years of experience in online content management, writing and editing.
2+ years of knowledge and experience with content management systems.
Experience working with clients to prepare and optimize content for the Web.
Experienced in Web content consolidation, migration, and content mapping.
Ability to problem-solve and develop solutions for content development business processes, information architecture, and content migration planning and support.
Advanced communications, analytical, and organizational skills .
You have worked with cross discipline user experience teams.
Specific Skills
Organize and manage team efforts in audits as well as content sourcing, preparation and deployment.
Organize, develop and manage content across the client's digital presence
Maintain a consistent content organization, depth, reading level and quality throughout all interactive properties
Considerable experience presenting content planning deliverables to business sponsors and key stakeholders.
Interpretation and response to analytics
Identification of key performance indicator paths through the content
Knowledge of effective metadata and optimize content for search engines.
You work daily in Microsoft office.
Expert level attention to detail, as well as strong organizational and communication skills needed to maintain brand integrity and dialogue with users.
You can identify and develop usable content including instructional text, error and confirmation messages, taxonomy and nomenclature.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
Driver of web process with enough flexibility to match changing deadlines and enough firmness to optimize process.
Understanding of interaction design and information architecture with regards to content management.
Selecting and evaluating content; maintaining site content inventory.
Defining research requirements for web content strategy.
Content development and editorial calendar planning experience.
Desirable skills
Degree, certification or advanced qualification by third party association that matches the function or field applicable to the business discipline.
Developing content models for CMS implementations (defining elements and classification schemes)
Understanding of databases and CMS templates
