UX Researcher

Currently searching for a User Experience Researcher who has great communication skills, finds summarizing complex information fun and thrives on helping the team understand what is best for the end user. Working with both internal and external clients. This role will be for a six-month period working 40 hours per week onsite in New York.

SUMMARIZATION OF JOB: Coordinate User Experience Research activities for client products and websites. Projects will include identifying the appropriate user experience research activities and then designing, planning and implementing. Provide input for the UI design of applications based on research findings.

MUST HAVES:
Experience conducting research of User Experience with software applications and websites performing usability techniques including: • Formal usability testing • Heuristic evaluation • Focus groups

SKILLS/EDUCATION:
• 5+ years of UX research experience.
• Proficient at conducting all research activities including planning, recruiting, designing and moderating.
• Demonstrate strong passion for improving the way applications and websites work to meet the needs of users and provide input on this.
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrate strong client-facing presentations and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Demonstrate strong user research skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Usability Engineering
