This Project team for this top tech company is looking for a proactive and passionate UX researcher to join a team in Mountain View as they focus on building the next generation of productivity and collaboration tools.

We are looking for a User Experience Researcher to work across the certain products, including apps and libraries. As a UX Researcher on a growing UX team, you will have the opportunity to drive impact through research working alongside User Interface Designers, Product Managers and Engineers.

At each stage, you will iterate on user feedback, anticipate what our users need, and advocate for these needs to ensure that the final product and delights and empowers them. You will advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and oral presentations.

Responsibilities:
- Lead research for projects on a suite of products.
- Contribute to, or help lead, key research team activities including international field research, lab studies, RITE methodology, design sprints, surveys, and other forms of formative research.
- Partner closely with designers, PMs, and eng to drive product changes and ensure product excellence.
- Participate in product discussions, design reviews, and strategic research planning.
- Collaborate with product teams to define and prioritize user experience research questions.
- Identify new opportunities for high-impact research and execute on them.
- Collaborate with other teams.
- Ensure effective communication of research findings.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, Anthropology, UX, Computer Science, Information Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of relevant work/academic experience, including experience integrating user research into product designs and design practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills -- including ability to distill findings into concise insights and engage and excite stakeholders about research.
- Interest in product development and connecting research findings with new product ideas.
- Strong understanding of strengths and shortcomings of multiple different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase.
- A desire to move quickly and innovate on the way we do research.

Nice to have Qualifications:
- Master's or PhD preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis/statistics for analyzing survey and/or behavioral data.
- Experience collaborating with user researchers, PMs, and engineers.
- Experience working with mobile consumer electronics.
- Linux proficiency and scripting (Shell, Python).
