UX Researcher

Are you passionate about understanding your users? Do you love finding out what makes them tick, so you can create the best possible user experience? The User Experience Researcher will report to the Director of User Experience and be responsible for discovering the goals, needs, motivators, desires, pain points, and the like of users. The researcher will work with teams to define research goals, participant recruiting criteria, methodologies, reporting requirements and more. He/she will help manage research projects conducted by third-party companies or conduct the research himself/herself using various web-based testing tools. He/she will lead or facilitate the analysis and sharing of research findings, as well as the development of recommendations that optimize the user experience.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Familiarity with digital market research methodologies.
Understanding of Information Architecture/Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and/or prior experience as an Information Architect, Usability Specialist or related UX position.
Knowledge of usability best practices as they relate to digital experiences across desktop, tablet and mobile platforms.
Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and small-group presentations.
Highly self-motivated and excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines, empathize with other points of view, and help facilitate the best possible user experiences given any number of conditions and constraints.
