Vitamin T is currently in search of a UX Researcher for our client in Metro Detroit. This is a contract to hire opportunity!

We are looking for a full-time User Experience Researcher to design, lead and conduct user research for the Arbor Spectrum product. You'll analyze user behavior and provide our teams with user insights to help us design optimal user experiences for our web-based network security applications.

Your efforts will be focused primarily on user research: contextual inquiry, usability testing, and assessment (usability, web use statistical analysis). You'll study how customers use our existing products and beta software, as well as mockups of new features. In addition, you'll pay attention to competing products. We'll rely on your recommendations for understanding user intentions and how to streamline workflow.

You'll work with product teams to define research goals and participant recruiting criteria, conduct interviews, and assemble and present research findings. Our customers are global, so most sessions will be conducted remotely, but there may be a light amount of travel involved to conduct research.

Our design effort is done as a team, so this means working closely with our user experience designers, software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders. We have a strong culture of performing peer reviews of work, so collaboration skills and the ability to participate in design discussions are key. This may include creating a mockup on occasion.
