We’re looking for a User Experience Researcher.

The role of contract User Experience Researcher will contribute to the design of the world’s most intuitive and loved set of integrated products and services for Small Businesses. This initiative is high profile for this client and with your contribution it can successfully grow to serve their customers nationwide.

Their User Experience Researchers are critical to their success
- Help us know their small business customers and how these insights can help them be more successful
- Drive research and user testing activities that show the value of research by getting stakeholders actively participating in research and testing through interviews, site visits and other observational methods
- Support a user centered design process through end-to-end research: from discovery phase through iterative user testing and benchmarking
- Work closely with design and other stakeholders to deliver the best possible products and services to their small business customers
- Use your presentation and facilitation skills to help drive to the best outcome in partnership with stakeholders, resulting in others learning from you, and inspiring others to want to work with you

Here's what you bring
- Familiarity with user-centered design principles and processes, and the role that research and testing can play to successfully support those processes
- Understanding of design programs that includes consideration of the overarching customer experience, organizational frameworks, product ecosystems, roadmaps and release cycles
- Generative work style – you are able to plan, implement and follow-up on research and testing plans and outcomes
- Ability to conduct empathy interviews, qualitative (including usability testing) and quantitative user research that is sufficiently rigorous and adheres to company policies
- Experience in synthesizing and presenting findings to enable ideation, design and testing of new product concepts and product iteration
- Ability to present complex qualitative and quantitative data to diverse, cross-discipline stakeholder audiences in understandable and actionable formats
- Strength in using storytelling to share your discoveries, influence stakeholders and create energy around an idea or an initiative
- Ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity – you know how to keep moving in the right direction
- Ability to see beyond what is simply being asked, and look for opportunities to innovate, challenge and push boundaries

Have these basics
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Usability or related field
- At least 2 years of experience with user-centered design and user research
