UX Researcher + Design

This is a one-year contract for a UX Design Researcher experienced in complex research and usability analysis for e-commerce and enterprise web and mobile applications. This role will need to be able to lead qualitative, quantitative and usability research to support the UX team with making critical product design decisions. Responsibilities will include planning, recruiting, facilitating and performing pre-analysis and post-analysis of the client's user experiences. As well as, produce lo-fi UX designs and annotations reflecting recommendations derived from research results. Assignments will include UX Research for some products, Usability tests for others and UX design as needed.

>Transparent and approachable with giving/receiving constructive critiques on behalf of research results.
>Able to complete UX Research/Usability/Design tasks independently, collaborates well promoting synergy.
>Ability to balance business objectives and customer needs to present the most valuable solution.
>Ability to meet deadlines for numerous concurrent projects.

UX Research Qualities:
>A desire to capture and understand mental models, pain points & desires of Users.
>Understands how UX research supports persuasive design techniques to bring value to our customers.
>Driven by the desire to be our customer’s advocate to contribute towards intuitive, easy to use and well-designed products customers 'want' to use.

Key Skills: 
>A thorough understanding and practice of UCD Research techniques.
>3+ years of experience with User Experience Research and Analysis for e-commerce web sites & mobile applications (touch screen a plus).
>Keen ability to accurately collect User feedback and record their needs, desires, pain points and gaps.
>Effective communication skills that present research findings in a clear, prioritized and actionable presentation which are geared to improve design decisions that will increase conversion & retention.
