Our corporate client is looking for a UX researcher to join their growing team! As a User Researcher you will be responsible for planning and implementing user research activities, synthesizing qualitative/quantitative data, and translating research insights into actionable design recommendations. This is a hands-on role, and includes designing and documenting research plans, moderating user research sessions, reporting findings to project team and stakeholders. Function as a usability advocate across applications and teams emphasizing user-centered design principles and how they can be applied within a corporate environment
Working closely with business teams to create research strategies and objectives
Work with project management to plan, prioritize, and conduct user research activities to ensure end-user needs are incorporated into system solutions.
Plan, design and conduct user research studies such as: field studies, interviews, cognitive walkthroughs, concept testing, onsite and remote lab studies, card sorting, user surveys, etc.
Collaborate on solutions that meet the needs of the business and the needs of the end-user.
Be creative and innovative when applying user research activities while maintaining a positive approach to ambiguity.
Scope and Accountability:
Candidate makes recommendations and performs work independently or with minimal supervision.
Support the growth of a budding UX research and design team and raise awareness of UX issues, tools, and techniques across the company
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in User Centered Design, Human Factors or Human-Computer Interaction. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
5+ years of experience planning and conducting user researcher activities preferably in an enterprise setting
Ability to establish business relationships and work effectively with business and client contacts in a dynamic, self-directed team environment. Strong interpersonal skills.
Thorough knowledge of user-centered design principles, theories, and research methodologies.
Experience conducting user research in a LEAN UX environment and Agile/Scrum development process.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written); communicate effectively with peers, end users, and all levels of corporate management. Excellent active listening and presentation skills.
Experience in logistics and/or supply chain management is desired.
Solid project management, time management, and prioritization skills.
MUST have work samples to show.
