Our client is a leader in the Social Media field and they’ve asked for our help identifying a UX Researcher for a CONTRACT ENGAGEMENT in their MENLO PARK location... This TOP social media company in Menlo Park, CA was built to help people connect and share. This will be a part time position for about 3 months. The researcher will be responsible to planning and leading 2-3 in-person and remote qualitative studies. This research will be international. The researcher will meet regularly with product stakeholders to understand product implications and key questions. This role will involve partnering closely with the product team UX researcher to plan and execute this work.

Job description
* This position is 20 -30 hours per week. 1 day a week at Menlo Park campus is Mandatory
* Drafting discussion guides and planning qualitative research
* Running in-person or remote international qualitative research
* Supervise moderators and translators in international research, including providing constructive feedback.
* Analyzing and interpreting qualitative data (basic quantitative data analysis and interpretation is a plus)
* Creating findings and recommendation reports from user studies
* Creating highlight videos/screenshots, graphs to build keynote/PPT decks
* Collaborating with other researchers and product team members

* Knowledge of financial services or payments in emerging markets
* Knowledge of technology use in emerging markets, including experience traveling to/ living in emerging markets
* Research experience, focused on running qualitative and usability studies
* Excellent observation and note-taking skills
* Detailed oriented and ability to work independently on a variety of tasks
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Can work independently and prioritize time between multiple projects, and be flexible by adapting to changing schedules and different projects·

•BA/BS degree in marketing, or a human behavior related field (HCI, Psychology, Social Science, Information Science, etc.)
•MA / PhD preferred. 3+ years experience in applied product research
