UX Researcher - 6 months

UX Researcher needed to work on one of our client's very well used products. The team you will be working in is made up of 3 people at the moment - 1 Manager, 1 person focusing on qualitative research and 1 person on quantitative research. The team have colleagues in Zurich and some travel to Zurich may be required.

You will be responsible for the following:
- Focusing on usability studies and taking on tactical work
- Studies to test design thinking
- Studies into scheduling events with the product
- You will be working work hand in hand with the Manager on the team and as a result will have exposure to a range of world class research methodologies.

As a UX Researcher, you will conduct independent research, analyse real user behavior and work with interaction designers, product managers and engineers to improve the product features and develop new ones. Your work will focus on one of the clients successful Apps products and you will be encouraged to identify new opportunities for user experience improvements. The team strive to connect users to the magic of their products, and your job is to make that connection intuitive and accessible.

Responsibilities:
* Conduct qualitative research on multiple aspects of how users experience the App
* Work closely with the design team for iterative user testing
* Work with the Senior UX Researcher to turn user insights into actionable recommendations
* Present research findings and recommendations to project stakeholders through written reports and oral presentations
* Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills, and the ability to quickly develop recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative evidence.

Minimum qualifications:
* BA/BS in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, Anthropology, Information Science or related field or equivalent practical experience
* 4 years of work experience in an applied research setting.

Preferred qualifications:
* 4+ years of relevant work experience, including experience integrating user research into product designs and design practices
* Experience with remote usability testing tools, such as Keynote or UserZoom
* Strong understanding of strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and collaboration skills.
