UX Research Assistant

The User Experience team is a critical driving force behind gathering these insights and then using them to inspire and inform design. They are a multi-disciplinary team of interaction designers, visual designers, user researchers and web developers who collaborate closely with each other and with Engineering and Product Management to create innovative, usable, great-looking products that people love to use.

As a User Experience Research Assistant, you'll have the opportunity to support our research activities in developing innovative, user-friendly, best-of-breed products. We are looking for individuals who have excellent communication skills, are diligent, detail-oriented, and can work fairly independently.

Key Responsibilities:
-Observe and run usability testing sessions and interviews
-Prepare research studies with the help of another UX Researchers. Propose research questions and tasks
-Analyze qualitative & quantitative data
-Create results presentations. Integrate recommendations from other UX Researchers into the presentations
-Produce highlight videos
-Present results to key stakeholders


Minimum Requirements:
-B.A./B.S. (completed) or M.A/M.S./Ph.D. (in progress or completed) in Human Factors, Psychology, HCI/Computer Science, Anthropology, Information Science, or other field emphasizing human behavior; or in lieu of a degree, some related work experience.
-1 year relevant work experience as Research Assistant
-Interest in general research and user research methods
-Excellent observation skills
-Detailed oriented and able to work independently on a variety of tasks
-Strong oral and written communication skills
-Can work independently, prioritize time between multiple projects, and adapt to changing schedules and priorities

Preferred Qualifications:
-Familiarity with the product development lifecycle
-Hands-on experience with planning, moderating, and analyzing usability studies
-Knowledge of basic graphic and video editing tools
-Experience with end-to-end services and e-commerce platforms
