UX Project Manager (24 week contract)

The project manager will work alongside user experience, business, and engineering stakeholders to help meet business objectives, support the brand and provide an intuitive, informative and outstanding user experience. Additionally, the senior project manager leads other user experience project managers to achieve individual and departmental goals.


Project /Practice Management

Manages project estimates, scope, resources and timelines, and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
Creates detailed project work plans and assign tasks to team members.
Manages day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scope.
Facilitates tracks and monitors projects, activities, milestones, timelines and deliverables.
Ensures that all project-related tasks have been performed.
Effectively applies UE methodology and enforces project standards.
Coordinates UE deliverable reviews, internally and with external stakeholders.
Works closely with practice leads and/or managers to ensure a high level of quality.
Forecasts upcoming project work by resource and hours.
Ensures project documents are complete, current, and archived appropriately.
Participates in high-level project planning and roadmap sessions within OBU.
Works closely with RDM Program/Project Managers to achieve OBU goals.



Schedules and facilitates UE team and OBU project meetings effectively.
Holds regular status meetings with project team.
Keeps project team well informed of changes within the project
Effectively communicates relevant project information to OBU colleagues.
Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.

User Experience

Identifies UE opportunities and risks as they relate to a specific project; serves as UE champion within OBU, and internally works with UE leads to ensure proper UE design best practices are implemented.
Strong knowledge and understanding of human factors and usability elements of web design and development
Strong and consistent user focus.
Leadership – Project Management Team

Meets regularly with assigned project managers. Advises and mentors, provides feedback on performance, addresses concerns, takes questions and issues to higher management.
Serves as higher-level liaison with other departments.
Provides other project managers with opportunities to improve knowledge of and skills in various aspects of project management, through ongoing guidance
Trains team through both formal and informal training programs.

Leadership – UE

Leads project teams and individual members to achieve project goals per the project plan.
Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.
Remains on the forefront of emerging web, user experience and e-commerce industry practices.
Seeks and participates in development opportunities above and beyond training required by job description
Develops and implements solutions for improvement in internal processes.
Leads internal teams/task forces

Teamwork (UE)

Consistently acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions.
Effectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential.
Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner.
Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members.
Mitigates team conflict and communication problems
