UX Project Manager - Research

As a UX Research Project Manager working for a consulting company at a major technology company, you'll combine expert project management skills with a passion for user experience research to help teams improve products for millions of users. You will work alongside the Localization team to execute international user studies (remotely) and analyze the results. You will need to balance multiple projects at any given time.

This is a 1 year contract (w/ potential to extend), onsite, 40 hours/ week in Mountain View, CA. W2 with benefits via Aquent.

You will be responsible for managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating any roadblocks with various stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines. To make sure our international research projects have the highest impact possible, you will need to analyze and present findings in a comprehensive and compelling manner. You will analyze raw video footage of user interactions as well as survey data, and report back on key insights.
Responsibilities:

-Work with stakeholders and external vendors to ensure projects are completed on time
- Analyze raw video footage and survey responses with keen attention to detail
- Report key findings in a visually compelling, coherent manner (usually deck format) and clearly communicate findings to senior stakeholders
- File functional and usability issues from the user studies into internal bug filing system as needed
- Collaborate with Google leaders and vendors on project planning and goals, including: requirements gathering, scheduling, resource allocation, study execution and final deliverables
- Proactively identify risks, prioritize them, and create plans to resolve in a timely manner

Minimum Qualifications:

- BA/BS or equivalent practical experience
- 3-5 years experience managing projects related to user feedback and/or user research
- 1-3 years experience working abroad or supporting international expansion within a business environment
- Proficient with spreadsheets, Google Docs, Google Forms & Google Slides
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to present key findings in a visually appealing, comprehensible manner
- Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Proven ability to multitask, analyze opportunities, define successful approaches, and proactively solve problems
- A strong sense of focus and excellent attention to detail while working in a very fast-paced environment
- Experience with raw data analysis
- Experience with online user testing and/or survey tools such as UserTesting.com, UserZoom, Loop11, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey
- Knowledge of SQL, SPSS, R a plus


Key Performance Metrics

- Each final deliverable answers all questions set forth on the research test plan
- Respond to product team and/or vendor questions within 1 business day
- Meet all project deadlines agreed upon with the product team. If unforeseen obstacles jeopardize ability to hit a deadline, communicate this immediately to product team & all stakeholders
- All relevant documentation and steps completed for each project, including:
-- Test plan
-- Project tracker/timeline
-- Completed request form
-- WMT tool submission
-- Entry into team project tracker
-- Written quote from vendor
-- All document in a shared Drive folder for each project
