Our client based in Atlanta is looking for a Digital User Experience Manager. This is a direct hire opportunity with an established company in the insurance industry. Competitive pay and benefits included.

The ideal candidate will be creative and innovative when applying processes, while maintaining a positive approach and demeanor. You will be responsible for all phases of web and mobile user-centered design, including the ability to make strategic and tactical UI design recommendations to customers and project teams based on business requirements, usability findings and standard UI design practices. The User Experience Manager should possesses the ability to rapidly prototype low and high fidelity UI concepts, serve as a usability advocate, and promote a user-focused mindset. On a day to day output should be user-centered, creative, and have solid user interface, usability and visual design skills.
Responsibilities:

• Work with AVP, Mobile & Web UX and Optimization, Mobile delivery Manager and collaborate with cross functional teams (creative, content, technology) to shape product vision and to design and deliver breathtaking experiences
• Think holistically about the entire brand and consumer experience
• Enhances information architecture team accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; teaching improved processes; mentoring team members.
• Leading UX and UI for content on various platforms, both physical products and digital products including mobile and web with internal and external creative resources.
• Creates – and occasionally directs the creation of – journey maps, navigation flows, site maps, user stories, wireframes, concept diagrams, personas, template guidelines, annotated comps, and prototypes
• Conduct market research and analysis on competitive and best in class digital and physical products / experiences and key industry trends
• Outline UI system and product requirements per physical object and portal website and app to ensure we meet experience/creative vision, design principles and launch goals
• Manage documentation of holistic user experience and interdependencies with various work streams and decisions
• Write use cases outlining variables for product and retail experiences
• Identify gaps or inconsistencies of design decisions
• Work with creative and content teams to define key goals for consumer testing, develop materials to be tested and write reports for key insights/findings
• Participate in ideation workshops, design thinking, and game storming
• Collaborate closely with all members of the team
• Provide weekly executive summary of UX work stream
• Own documentation and tracking of all UX action items
• Continually improve UX process
• Effectively turn business requirements into functional flows
• Applying the best design while effectively managing trade-offs between businesses needs and customer benefit
• Leverages metrics, optimization, qualitative and quantitative research to inform and validate design decisions


Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree with preference in Design, User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, etc.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in User Experience (UX) and usability
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience doing hands on Wireframes
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in web or mobile design, development, or planning

Other Requirements:
• Have an eye for great design and good background knowledge of UX design principles and practices.
• Have strong experience in ecommerce markets with a B2B and D2C focus
• Strong skills of strategic creative thinking, user-centered design process/principles, verbal and written communication, and teamwork.
• Solid understanding of web and mobile (native) technologies
• Highly successful problem solver that is organized, detailed and extremely collaborative
• Passionate, positive and capable of making incredibly complex things simple
• Strong communication, presentation, and creative challenge-solving skills
• Self-starter, expert generalist, design thinker, tinkerer
• Experience dealing effectively with non-creative decision makers
• Ability to anticipate and design for user needs by incorporating research, strategy and analytics
• Ability to work independently, while escalating issues as necessary
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• Ability to take direction, adhere to guidelines, and work well within a team environment.
• Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to independently manage multiple projects and initiatives.
• Ability to work well in a fast paced, ever changing environment
• Working experience with prototyping tools such as OmniGraffle, Axure, etc.
