UX Interaction Designer- FULL TIME

We’re looking for an Interaction/UX Designer to focus on delivering world-class designs for language learning products and services. We’re searching for someone with excellent conceptualization skills and ability to envision the entire end-to-end user experience. Ideally, we would like someone with a strong sense of visual, modern, and user-centric designs across digital product lines and services (internal and customer-facing), including websites, applications, and other online media. This role requires knowledge and experience in visual design, interaction design, accessibility, and front-end web technologies.

Responsibilities:
• Create and design compelling interactive user experiences including websites, mobile applications, and other digital applications.
• Execute all design stages through the full design and development cycle. Deliverables will include wireframes, design comps and workflow/interaction diagrams.
• Conduct cross-functional design reviews for design concepts, from initial wireframes and design comps through implementation.
• Conduct or assist Product Management in executing user testing of current and future designs.
• Effectively communicate with developers through implementation phase to realize design vision.
• Help develop and maintain design library for consistent design.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Art / Design, Human Factors or equivalent experience
• Strong skills in problem solving, creativity and interaction design
• direct experience in UI/UX Design with a focus on web applications
• Experience or familiarity with agile development processes
• Clear understanding of usability, user-centered design, accessibility and web standards
• Experience with Accessibility and Universal Design practices and principles.
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS (Javascript experience a plus!) This isn’t a role with hand coding but a basic understanding of HTML/CSS is a nice to have
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong prioritization and multitasking skills
• Experience in mobile design/development (huge plus)
• Good listening skills with ability to synthesize multiple opinions and input into concrete decisions and actions
• Inspires confidence, credibility; flexible and adaptable
• Strong portfolio of work demonstrating the following:
o User focused design sense
o Excellent use of typography and layout
o Wireframes/Mockups or comps demonstrating design approach
o Excellent visual design skills
o Thoughtful user work flows


ABOUT THE JOB:
This is a full time, on-site role in Boston, MA for 3 months. There is a strong possibility of converting to perm for the right person!
