UX Ideation Manager (3+ months)

*This is a 3+ month contract role (with strong possibility of extending beyond that. Located onsite in downtown Charlotte!*

Do you have a passion for UX and experience for with usability research? If so, we are looking for a UX rockstar and strategic thinker who can coordinate research strategies & guide ideation for new projects to join the Usability team for one of our large financial clients! The team creates innovative, usable, elegant products that customers love to use.

Interested? Here's some scoop on the day-to-day:

In this role, you’ll facilitate ideation sessions with product managers and UX designers to set design goals and dig into research, requirements, brand standards and new design opportunities. This role will help ensure the innovation, quality, consistency and usability of UX Design as it relates to touch devices, websites, user interfaces, applications and digital marketing. You will:

• Work with Product Managers to understand product concepts / customer experience
• Would coordinate research / research plans & strategy and guide ideation (this would be in the upfront / development stages)
• Facilitate ideation sessions
• Set goals
• Review research / requirements / branding
• Develop Ideation strategy & plan for each project

Job Requirements (how we will get you in the door for this awesome opportunity!):

You are the person we want if you have the following experience:
• Broad UX and/or strong usability research, product design, or service design; Human Factors or related degree
• Innovation/ideation/product development/product design experience with a focus on understanding consumers/users
• Organizing/conducting/analyzing quantitative or qualitative research, and recommending design-oriented solutions with growth
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to visualize information effectively and tailor presentations to the audience.
• Ability to present research results with a clear goal for making the user experience
• Experience managing client relationships and complex deliverables.
• Proven ability to create processes that ensure quality and measurable results

And finally.... DESIRED, but not required:

• Previous work experience in qualitative research experience spanning lab testing, focus groups, ethnography, field studies, user recruitment, cognitive reviews, heuristic evaluations, persona development, diary studies, online surveys/testing
• Visual or interaction design skills, especially with an eye for system-level details
• HTML and CSS knowledge, current on latest responsive design techniques
• Experience in survey design or quantitative analysis
• Financial Services or Automotive Industry experience
