UX Director

We are looking for a confident, collaborative and curious User Experience Director to join a top agency in central London.

You will:
• Be responsible for leading multiple iterative human centred design on large, complex global pieces of work which transform businesses and help people do awesome things
• Advocate for the participation of users in the design process
• Help clients and colleagues understand and empathise with their users
• Be passionate about the design of software and services
• Have a clear view on the future of technology
• See the big picture and a desire to get your hands dirty in the detail
• Be organised, analytical, open minded and able to act independently
• Care about your work and the people you work with

Key Responsibilities:
• Managing multiple projects with UX teams with your team to understand and develop briefs and requirements
• Reviewing and improving outstanding digital experiences
• Presenting work and leading work sessions in a confident, engaging way
• Developing strong relationships with clients
• Applying user centred design processes flexibly to suit different circumstances
• Developing and articulating ideas and concepts to internal teams and clients
• Inspiring and mentoring user experience architects across multiple levels.
• Participating in industry thought leadership in both the company and the industry

Expertise:
To succeed in this role you will need to be an expert at:
• User centred design principles, tools and processes
• User experience design and presentation tools, from drawing to prototyping
• Researching, testing and crafting experiences across a broad range of screen based devices
• Collaborating and leading a multi-disciplinary team
• Making good decisions quickly based on complex inputs
• Rapidly generating multiple ways to solve problems
• Comprehending the complex and make it seem understandable with the most appropriate tools
• Eliciting and expressing empathy for users

Experience
We expect that the person who succeeds at this job will show the following experience:
• Strong proven experience in an UX leadership role
• Experience working with CX level clients
• Demonstration of imaginative thinking
• Experienced in mobile and touch based interfaces
• Expert knowledge of information architecture and interaction design
• Knowledge of service design
• Strong interest in emerging forms of technology
• Outstanding portfolio
