UX Designer/IA Hybrid role

UI/UX designers, business developers, graphics designers, user experience research, user strategy, project managers, innovationeers, copywriters and other creative professionals comprise the teams within the Digital Customer Experience organization (DCE). These professionals are responsible for delivering unique and innovative designs and experiences across multiple applications, products and payments offerings. Diverse backgrounds range across design agencies, mobile handset manufacturers, financial institutions, mobile carriers, startups and content providers.

We are looking for a talented and experienced Information Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of interaction and visual designers committed to developing the next generation digital UI interfaces.

A customer centric view is paramount while providing simple, fun and innovatively enriching experiences for our customers. You will be working in a fast paced environment alongside our product and engineering teams to define and curate a cohesive digital landscape across all of our digital customer touchpoints. You will be expected to understand and communicate in various forms the whole digital information space as it is experienced by our customers, as well as innovate and drive change to continually simplify and refine that space to match our customers’ changing needs and expectations. Your rigor and creativity will help our client continue in its role as the leader in the mobile financial services space.

Qualifications:
• 8-10+ years experience in digital user interface design and user experience
• Proven understanding of complex information spaces (websites, mobile applications, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to document and communicate complex structures verbally and visually
o 4-5+ years specifically in Information Architecture related discipline
o Information Hierarchies
o Content Ontologies
o Complex Hypertext Information Spaces
• Good communications and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with content types and strategies employed in digital communications
• A background in business analysis or library science is a plus, but not required
• Understanding of how users perceive and navigate virtual and digital spaces
• A keen sense of how to achieve simplicity without sacrificing capability or value
• Familiarity with the digital space, and an awareness of the relevant technical and ergonomic considerations
