The UX Designer will be primarily responsible for documenting the scope and functional flow of web products, mobile applications, and other digital products. This position will create usable and desirable products and services that satisfy specific user needs, business goals, and technical constraints. Oversee and direct vendors in their resulting UX documentation and practices. Ensure that the expected quality is carried through the entire process.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Perform detailed user and business research including stakeholder interviews, competitive research, and industry analysis.
Develop and present UX design approaches based on this research.
Assist with scope definition and project estimates.
Develop UX documentation in the form of site maps, process flows, wireframes and navigation patterns.
Communicate the documented vision to team members and key stakeholders.
Create supporting documentation such as requirements, functional specs, prototypes, and test plans.
Manage a project to completion by providing design or dev-required alternate UX approaches, quality assurance testing, and follow-up usage metrics analysis.
Develop usability and focus group testing strategies.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
5-7 years professional experience as an Interactive Designer, User Experience Designer, Information Architect, Interactive Architect or equivalent.
Bachelors degree or years of professional experience in Human Factors, Information Architecture, User Interface Design, User Experience Design, or related field.
Experience designing UX for large scale projects.
Strong knowledge of user interface and information design principles; a basic knowledge of human cognitive development or response (such as psychology, education, library or information science).
Tools and skills knowledge in order of preference: Sketch, OmniGraffle/Visio/Axure, Keynote/PowerPoint, Photoshop.
