User Experience Designer

The User Experience Designer will design corporate websites and complex web applications, based on corporate goals, contemporary web design principles and user data. This person will be responsible for the full design process, from ideation and sketching, wireframing and prototyping, to creating the visual elements that complete the design.

Candidates will need to work independently as well as take direction, work closely with other teams, and should be self-motivated and organized.


-Partner with business units, development teams, QA and other stakeholders to design and define the user experience (information architecture, interaction design, and visual design) across a suite of web-based sites and services.

-Create supporting documentation of the architecture of web sites and complex applications including workflows, wireframes, and prototypes.

-Create overall visual design, weaving together iconography, typography, color, space and texture to help users easily navigate applications

-Design incremental improvements and added features within existing web sites and services to maintain consistency and ensure an optimal user experience

Minimum Requirements:

-Bachelors Degree in related field and 4+ years of professional experience

-Experience designing and producing usable online solutions from concept through visual design

-Experience defining information architecture elements and describing with sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, etc.

-Ability to apply theories related to color schemes, use of space, text placement, usability and visual flow to create beautiful visual designs

-Proficiency with Photoshop and /or Illustrator

-Knowledge of design for responsive and mobile environments

-Understanding of the Agile Development process

-Ability to take direction and work with minimum supervision

-Ability to be efficient, productive, and flexible with a dynamic workload

-Strong communication skills and the ability to work within project schedules and deadlines.

-Solid understanding of web technologies (such as HTML, CSS, Javascript) and how each can effect design work

**Must show portfolio of related Digital Project Samples.**
