Vitamin T is looking for a super sharp onsite UX Designer to revolutionize research and learning tools. We are seeking an experienced User Experience Designer to join our growing global UX team. If you love understanding user needs, designing elegant, interfaces that make complex tasks easy, and working collaboratively in an agile development environment, this may be the role for you.

Working closely with internal business and technology leads, you'll apply principles of design thinking to create, validate, and implement responsive web-application designs which meet user needs and business objectives. You'll collaborate with subject matter experts and software developers to understand and work within technical constraints, and optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of design implementations.

Some of What You'll do:

Partner with the product management team to align user research and design activities to deliver market-differentiating product UIs.
Advocate and execute against a strong user-centered design philosophy through user interviews, direct observations of user behavior, usability testing, and interpreting usage and analytics data.
Develop design renderings/wireframes defining the user interface form, navigation, interaction, and basic screen design across multiple devices.
Create high and low-fidelity prototypes to support rapid design iteration and user testing.
Design accessible experiences per ADA Section 508 requirements and W3C WAI guidelines.
Convey design elements and interactions to the product development team through brief requirements documents, annotated wireframes or user stories.
Work closely with the development team to ensure business and user requirements are successfully implemented.
As a member of the global UX team, share and help to improve best practices, toolsets, and design patterns.

Successful candidates must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent training/professional work experience in one of the following areas or a related field: Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Visual Communications.
5 or more years of industry experience in interface design, web design, information architecture, user research or similar field.
Experience designing elegant, responsive interfaces for web applications.
Fluency with design and diagramming tools such as Axure, Visio, or OmniGraffle.

Ideal candidates will have:

Ability to create high and low-fidelity prototypes to support rapid design iteration and user testing.
Ability to produce appealing visual designs.
Experience with development processes, including ability to integrate user centered design practices with an agile development approach.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and validation methods.
Ability to understand and apply analytics and usage data as part of user research.
Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to professionally interact with a diverse blend of personalities to reach resolution and maintain strong relationships.
