Reporting To: Head of UX

The UX Designer is a key role within the organisation and the solution design process across a large proportion of the projects delivered. They will be responsible for championing User Experience and User Centred Design and supporting the growth of the function in line with the company goals.
The UX Designer will be responsible for gathering and analysing end user requirements within a variety of organisations across multiple verticals. They will be able to generate interactive experiences to satisfy even the most specific of audiences. They must know the importance of putting themselves in the shoes of a user, and know exactly how to take an interactive project from the user analysis stage through personas, site maps, taxonomies, and wireframes to a successful outcome.
UX Designer will be in charge of the overall outcome of a project. Being involved from inception they will ensure the value to the user is never watered down or compromised and representing the best interests of the user’s experience.
They must work closely with UI/Creative Designers, Technical Architects and Business Consultants as applicable on a project to ensure business needs, technical constraints and user requirements are all addressed within the proposed solution and making sure they are accurately translated into system development.
The UX Designer will need to maintain and ensure a level of governance across the solution and will continue to be a strategic point of contact for their customers throughout the project life cycle.

- Utilise qualitative and quantitative research methods including interviews; content analysis; workshops; surveys and business process analysis to create compelling online experiences that generate business results
- Be able to successfully engage in multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external customers to establish functional requirements
- Produce capability specifications, user interface specifications and wireframes using language appropriate to the intended audience.
- Collaborate with Developers, UI and Creative Designers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability, creativity and performance needs.
- Plan and execute strategies that drive final interactive solution development
- Create prototypes that illustrate proposed navigation design and information hierarchy
- Conduct concept testing, develop personas based on desired end user audiences, and perform task/user analysis
- Support the customer with User Acceptance Testing and triage relevant issues into the technical team as appropriate;
- Drive and challenge stakeholders on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute roll-out in line with Business Change challenges.
- Help the customer to plan successfully against communication and training needs.

Required Abilities:
- Strong UX and analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
- Knowledge of SharePoint, CRM and the Microsoft Stack advantageous
- Willingness to travel to client sites as necessary
